David Williams--Emmy winning songwriter for his work with PBS, with over 100 million hits for his songs on YouTube.  "Route 66," his song about his childhood move from Joplin to Chicago, is the official song for the 2025 State of Illinois' celebration of the mythic highway's 100 year anniversary.  His songs have a "literary" edge, exploring the human condition—both humorous and dramatic, his work often compared to songwriting greats like Prine, Cohen, Newman, Waits.

Williams works magic."  Newsweek  Magazine

"Williams' songs teach as well as entertain." Chicago Tribune

Every once in awhile, someone rises up with a real talent for lyrics, and such a talent is David Williams.” Chicago's Come For To Sing

David is also widely known for his gypsy jazz guitar work, in the stye of Django Reinhardt.

Ellie Brown is an out of the box singer-songwriter and vocal stylist, also playing uke & accordion player.  Her songs stick in your head and never leave. She is utterly charming both on stage and off, with two remarkable CDs to her credit.  Her quirky and infectious songs swing to life with both whimsy and panache.  And her lyrics are words of wisdom.  It's impossible to walk away from hearing Ellie Brown without falling in love.

David and Ellie are often joined by Duane Webster, who has played with everyone from Tommy Emanuel to you name it--a longtime fixture in the Colorado music scene, and one of the best bassists on the planet.  Percussionist--Adelle Kannar--brings her perfect timing on the snare drum and keeps everyone in line.

TRICKSTER CAROUSEL

"Nashville resident, outstanding poet and gifted singer/songwriter Williams is a genius.  Each [of his] songs is pristine and magical as it brings you in . . . ."  The Nashville Music Guide

"When first listening to David Williams, one is taken back to the classic jazz musicians and their characteristics of being strong vocalists. Featured on the track is a mix of sultry jazz and a reflecting lyrical rant. With the strumming of the guitar and the light variety of other instruments in the background, Williams pays homage to the traditional gypsy jazz while making it into something completely his own."  The Music Court

“You will be knocked out by Williams. . . reminiscent of Ry Cooder and Leon Redbone--terrific.”
The Chicago Sun Times
